These are the three comps I would recommend right now.
Premium team: Zibai + Columbina + Illuga + Aino
This team is the ceiling. Columbina is the required enabler. Her buffs and Moonsign follow-ups push reaction damage and consistency even when I am just auto-attacking. Illuga boosts Crit Rate, Crit DMG, and Elemental Mastery for Zibai, and that slots perfectly into the Geo plus Hydro frame. Aino at C6 adds another layer of Lunar buffs plus group-wide DEF scaling, so the team can sustain much longer than you would expect.
If you do not have Aino built, Zhongli works for comfort but costs some EM and crit potential. Kokomi or Yelan can flex into the Hydro slot, but you lose some of the DEF scaling synergy.

It reminds me of the old Chasm teams from 2.3, but smoother. Fischl is the surprising star here, especially at C6. Her follow-up attacks after Zibai's Normal Attacks keep reaction uptime almost constant, which feeds directly into Columbina's Moonsign Benediction passive.
You can swap Fischl for Mona if you want purer Hydro and more precise reactions, but you will trade some continuous Electro uptime. I would choose based on your available weapons and desired rotation complexity, not pure damage math.
F2P/Low-spend team: Zibai + Xingqiu + Illuga + Aino
If you are saving primos, this is your team. Xingqiu is still one of the best low-investment Hydro enablers in the game. He keeps Crystallize forming off-field, adds respectable off-field damage, and the defensive utility is genuinely nice for high-difficulty content outside Spiral Abyss Floor 12.
The trade-off is that you lose Columbina's unique Moonsign scaling. But you keep the core Lunar-Crystallize loop, and the team is much easier to assemble. Xingqiu is a frequent banner 4-star, and Illuga and Aino are featured in the same cycle. This is probably the most accessible path to a functioning Zibai team in 2026.
